Dame Maggie Smith's Career
Smith was best known to modern audiences as Professor Minerva McGonagall in the Harry Potter film series and as the sharp-tongued Dowager Countess in Downton Abbey. We thank you for all your kind messages and support and ask that you respect our privacy at this time,” the family added.
