It may have been snowy in Denmark, but in Bangalore we were of a sunnier disposition last week - we had special visitors all the way from the City of Smiles! Søren Poulsen, Senior Consultant, Dept. of Computer Science at Aarhus University and Jeppe Dørup Olesen, Head of Innovation, The Kitchen - AU Erhverv og Innovation were in the Garden City - yes, that's Bangalore - on the sidelines of the Bengaluru Tech Summit to see what makes the IT hub of India tick. First on their route was a visit to Infosys, one of the world's leading companies in next-generation digital services and consulting, where they met with leaders from the Infosys Centre for Emerging Technology Solutions and Infosys Springboard. Next, they visited Indian Institute of Management Bangalore's incubator aimed at young entrepreneurship -- NSRCEL. They also visited International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore, a premier research institution in Bangalore. On Day 2, Søren and Jeppe participated in our country panel discussions at BTS, where they presented their thoughts about digitalisation and cybersecurity, sustainability and ESG. They also stopped by for interesting conversations with visitors at the Danish pavilion. Their last day in Bangalore was spent at the Computer Science and Automation department at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), where they reconnected with Arpita Patra and Chaya Ganesh to discuss research in cryptography, possibilities of mobility and more. They also met faculty from the Centre for Networked Intelligence. Next, they visited Hyderabad (also called the City of Pearls) where they stopped by India's largest incubator T-Hub and India's largest prototyping facility T-Works - initiatives of Government of Telangana. They also visited Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence (CCoE) Hyderabad, and engaged with the team by exchanging ideas on building resilient digital ecosystems and enhancing cybersecurity collaboration. Though short, their visit helps reinforce the immense potential of academia-government-industry partnerships to drive innovation and sustainable growth in Indo-Danish relations. We look forward to seeing Jeppe and Søren again soon!
