🔎 What can we learn from the Smart Building journey of 2amsterdam, Danone and Microsoft Innovation Hub Amsterdam? 🔎 Last week, we hosted a select group of attendees from across Europe for an exclusive look behind the scenes at these three innovative buildings. 🏢 We organise the bGrid Smart Building Tours to showcase the latest Smart Building technology in action, facilitate meaningful conversations with key stakeholders, and demonstrate how Smart Buildings create value in real-world scenarios. This edition, we were welcomed by: 👉 2Amsterdam by Commerz Real AG, where the Head of Real Estate Markets Benelux, Martijn Houwen, explained how by using our technology, they are discovering more and more use cases for their multi-tenant building. Especially in conversations with tenants about issues like spaces being too warm or too cold - having data at hand makes the discussions far more effective. As it's a flexible and continuously evolving system, it enables us to ensure the development of the right new features to better fit tenant needs. 👉 Danone, where Renske Goezinne with over 15 years of experience as their Manager Facilities & Real Estate and working with the bGrid system since 2018, shared how the bGrid system aligns with Danone’s sustainability ambitions - particularly in terms of ESG goals. With precise data and reporting capabilities, she provides management with well-supported insights. This not only enhances Danone’s communication with stakeholders but also helps quantify the value of sustainability initiatives effectively. 👉 Microsoft Innovation Hub Amsterdam where we closed off the day with two presentations. The first by Joris Haverkort, Sr. Director Microsoft Innovation Hub, who told us about the values of Microsoft and how they are always pushing to be at the forefront of innovation. This resulted in them being one of the first adapters of our technology, and playing a big part in how we have improved over the past years. The second presentation was by Erik Felëus, Strategic Advisor Energy Transition & eMobility at Royal Schiphol Group - which is the area the Microsoft office is located. His story delved into the challenges we are facing in terms of our energy supply, and the role real estate plays in this issue. Making more efficient use of the energy we have available starts with having clear insights into our usage. Thank you to our hosts who were kind enough to share their smart building journey - including all successes and learnings, as well as our attendees who did not shy away from asking the tough questions. These events are vital for us as well, to keep us on our toes and understand where we should allocate our focus. Are you interested in joining us for the next Smart Building Tour? Feel free to send a message to info@bgrid.com to find out our next dates!
