It’s been a week since our #Ramadanpavilion #InfiniteLight was launched in Centenary Square, Bradford, and seeing how people have engaged with it has been truly special. From quiet moments of reflection to families walking through together, it’s been amazing to witness the different ways the pavilion is being experienced. Designed and led by our Lead Designer Fatima Mejbil in collaboration with Artist Zarah Hussain and commissioned for Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture and Ramadan Tent Project, this pavilion was created as a space for connection between people, cultures, and the heritage of #Bradford. The most rewarding part has been seeing how the design resonates with the community, how it sparks conversations, how children run through it, and how people pause to take it in. It’s a reminder of why public spaces matter and how art and architecture can create moments of unity in a bustling city. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s open to everyone so come by, walk through, and experience it for yourself and we’d love to hear your thoughts! #RamadanPavilion #InfiniteLight #Bradford2025 #publicspace #Architecture #Art #Connection #BeMoreBradford Commission - Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture Ramadan Tent Project Design - Fatima Mejbil Faum Architecture & Zarah Hussain Engineering - Ummer Daraz MIStructE Installation and Delivery - Weber Industries 📸 Credits David Lindsay

A busy and cold morning out in the city centre, interacting with businesses, in relation to our QES 🤝 🚶➡️ Ranging from chip shop owners, to clothing brands, I got to hear how people are feeling and how their businesses are coping in Q1. 📈 Made all the better for seeing this fantastic project from Faum Architecture. For those who haven’t, fieldwork is still live and I encourage businesses to complete this quarters survey. ⬇️ Link: https://lnkd.in/e48VEfP7 #Bradford #WestYorkshire #NorthYorkshire #Policy #QES #Q1 West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce

What if the next great surgeon, engineer, or scientist was in the room this weekend? (Must watch to the end) This past weekend, we ran The Human Body Challenge STEM event, designed to inspire young minds, ignite curiosity, and open doors to careers in medicine and science. (All inspired by our young panel of leaders) The response? Absolutely incredible! 📹 Watch the highlights We saw aspiring young doctors, dentists, and scientists in action, asking brilliant questions, getting hands-on with interactive experiments, and discovering the magic of STEM. But what made this event truly special was the community behind it: ✅ Volunteers from STEM and medical professions guiding the next generation. ✅ A diverse mix of parents—many doctors and dentists—keen to support future sessions. ✅ Young people from a deprived area proving that talent is everywhere—opportunity just needs to meet them halfway. 🌍 The big question: How do we keep this momentum going? This event showed that Dewsbury is full of untapped STEM talent. But if we want to bridge the gap between passion and profession, we need to create more opportunities, more exposure, and more employer involvement. 💡 Imagine if leading STEM organisations, professionals, and employers helped shape these young minds. The potential is HUGE. If you’re in STEM, healthcare, education, or business, we’d love to collaborate on future sessions! Let’s work together to inspire, mentor, and create pathways into these industries for young people who need it most. Who’s in? Comment below or drop us a message—we’d love to connect. 👇 #STEM #FutureDoctors #MakingSparks #InspiringTheNextGeneration #TalentEverywhere #STEMEducation #FutureLeaders

We’re on site, and our #RamadanPavilion 2025 is finally taking shape in Centenary Square, bringing warmth and light to #Bradford’s winter skies. The design grew naturally from its surroundings and the story we wanted to tell. We set out to create something that feels both simple and profound, drawing inspiration from the Gothic Revival arches of City Hall and Islamic architectural traditions from around the world. The double arch emerged naturally as a timeless symbol of #Connection, bridging architectural styles, cultures, and communities in #Bradford. The pavilion invites people to walk through, pause, and reflect. It is designed to encourage engagement while offering a quiet moment in the heart of the city. #RamadanPavilion `Infinite Light` will illuminate Centenary Square each evening, marking the end of the fast and creating a space for contemplation. After months of sketches, models, and planning, seeing it all take shape is truly rewarding. Sharing a sneak peek of our #RamadanPavilion 2025 as it nears completion ahead of its unveiling on Saturday, 15th February, in Centenary Square, #Bradford. Designing this alongside Zarah Hussain, with the support of an incredible team, has been a process of discovery, exploring form, light, and connection through both architectural and artistic experimentation. This project took me back to a hands-on design approach, working with paper models, hand sketching, and different media to shape ideas in a way that digital tools cannot always capture. Commissioned by Ramadan Tent Project and Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, our design reflects this year’s #RamadanFestival theme of #Connection, bringing people and cultures together while offering a place for reflection, unity, and the celebration of shared experiences. A huge thank you to engineer Ummer Daraz MIStructE and fabricators Gavin Weber from Weber Industries for their dedication, expertise, and craftsmanship in bringing this vision to life.
