About us

In a world overflowing with noise and distractions, it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters. We find ourselves pulled in countless directions, our focus fragmented, our creativity stifled. But imagine for a moment—a space where all the noise fades away. A place where you can centre yourself, harness your ideas, and let your true potential unfold. At Pith & Stem, we believe that your potential is limitless when you focus on what truly matters, when you free yourself of distractions. And sometimes, all it takes is the right space to let that brilliance shine through. This isn’t about furniture or design; it’s about creating a sanctuary for the mind. A place where simplicity isn’t just an aesthetic choice, but a pathway to clarity and innovation. Think about the greatest ideas you’ve ever had. They didn’t come when you were juggling a thousand things at once. They came in moments of clarity, when your mind was free to explore, to imagine, to create. We’re here to champion that clarity. To provide not just a physical space, but a catalyst for your best work, your deepest thoughts, your most inspired creations. Because when you strip away the unnecessary, you’re left with the essence of possibility. And in that space, greatness isn’t just achievable—it’s inevitable. So let’s embrace the power of focus. Let’s make room for what truly matters. Let’s create spaces that not only reflect who we are but amplify what we can become. DropTop_| Make space for brilliance.

  • A new DropTop desk review has just landed with Women's Health 🙌 Thank you Roisin Dervish-O'Kane for showcasing the importance of a proper WFH set-up when working remotely. It could mean the difference between a productive workday and not. It could mean the difference between work and home life being separate. It could mean the difference between balance and burnout. Give your WFH setup thought. It really is this important. https://lnkd.in/e2m7K3Fe

  • 2025 is the time to prioritise you. Ask yourself... Are you a hard worker? Do you work additional hours regularly to get things done? Do you put more emphasis on 'work you' than 'individual you'? If you answered yes to these questions, then now is the time to draw a line in the sand, and start the new year off as you mean to go on - prioritising you at least as much as you do your work. You won't remember the additional hours spent at work, but you will remember the missed family time and occasions. Make 2025 the year you find your work life balance.

Work-life balance is a myth in the remote work era. Sure, it sounds great in theory. But in reality, the lines are blurred. Instead of clocking out, many workers find themselves glued to their screens, responding to emails way after 5pm. That’s not what flexibility is about. On one hand, you have companies that push this relentless grind, celebrating the hustle culture while their employees drown in stress and burnout. On the other hand, there are those who value their employees’ time and respect their personal boundaries. And then there’s guilt trips from managers who claim that not working extra hours shows a lack of commitment. It’s time to ask yourself this question. Is "always on" the new expected normal? Or should you be working at companies that truly respect work-life balance and your life outside work? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

  • Do you struggle to finish work on time when WFH? Boundaries are important. Think of the difference it would make, to not see your work sitting out at the weekend... The difference it would make to your thoughts... The difference it would make to your personal time and family time... You have a dedicated desk space you say? But, can you shut away the temptation of thinking about work at the weekend? #worklifebalance #workfromhome

Burnout is killing your team. People are walking away from their jobs because of it. You will know if you're trying to sprint a marathon if you are: Regularly staying at the office after 7pm or always on your laptop after dinner. Sacrificing weekends to catch up on work. Logging early morning hours before sunrise. Constantly checking messages during family meals. This means you're also: Damaging personal relationships. Missing out on quality family time. Overlooking personal health and wellbeing. This is a silent killer. And it WILL catch up with you. Maybe in the next few weeks. Maybe in the next few months. Maybe in the next few years. But eventually, when your team sees the toll the 'hustle' takes on their life, they'll leave. Here's how to prevent this: (AND genuinely show you care for your employees) 1️⃣ Introduce a "no early calls" policy To prevent work from creeping in on personal morning routines. 2️⃣ Set email checking hours To ensure no one is damaging their productivity. 3️⃣ Create a system of "wellness advocates" To provide support and encourage healthier work habits. 4️⃣ Implement a "project cap" strategy To limit the number of concurrent projects per employee. 5️⃣ Offer flexible hours To allow your employees to work from home. If you create a culture of burnout, you will stunt your business growth. Work isn't completed faster. It’s done poorly. Or not completed at all. And then, your top talent leaves. And you're screwed. Have you experienced this?

  • 1 week left of our Instagram giveaway to win a DropTop™ desk! The DropTop™ desk is THE WFH desk. Why? It enables you to reclaim your home, and keep work out of sight and out of mind when the end of the working day comes. Now that may not sound like a big deal... but when you work from home, it can be incredibly hard to switch off from work mode, when your work sits out, beckoning your attention long after 5pm rolls around. A self-contained workstation like DropTop™ that physically closes - with all your work inside - and transforms into wall art, is a game changer for remote workers. Preventing overwhelm and can even help to prevent burnout. Prevent burnout? That's a bold claim... but we stand by it! Head on over to our profile and click on the pinned post to find out more. https://lnkd.in/eqRdpSNZ
