The KTP Programme helps UK businesses solve strategic challenges, innovate for growth and expand capability through partnership with university experts. A graduate (known as the Associate) is hired to lead the project, and embed the new knowledge and skills into the company. It has been proven to work with companies in a wide range of sectors and sizes. In Northern Ireland, KTP projects are mainly funded by Invest NI and Innovate UK.

Naren recently joined the 24-month project as a Digital Transformation Engineer. Supervised by Rory Collins and Dominic Mullins of AMIC (www.we-are-amic.com), Queen's graduate, Naren, is applying his academic knowledge and skills to integrate Industry 4.0 digital technologies at Somerville, to unify business operations and create a data-driven smart factory. Tyrone, is set to have a transformative impact on the construction industry in Northern Ireland!
