Angel has always been active, hands-on, and dedicated to working hard. However, before joining our After 22 Program, he struggled with feeling independent. He had the drive but needed an opportunity to show what he could accomplish on his own. 💜 Throughout the program Angel learned a lot including work readiness skills, interaction skills and how to excel in job roles. Thanks to his hard work and the support of our program, Angel was hired as a Dock Attendant at Chicago Harbors where he thrived, proving that with the right support, the possibilities are endless. 🌊 During this National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we honor Angel’s success and eagerly anticipate all he will achieve.👏  #AnixterCenter #After22 #Chicago #NDEAM #SuccessStory

Meet Marilyn. Since high school, Marylin has always had a passion for art. 🎨 She enjoys drawing and creating things. In August of this year, through our After 22 program, 📚 Marylin was able to land a job at Sloomoo Institute as a Slime Maker, where she turns her creativity into hands-on, playful creations every day. This role allows Marilyn to express her artistic skills, bring joy to visitors, and continue to grow as an artist. When asked about her experience in her new role, Marylin proudly shared, “It’s my dream job.” 💜 This National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we celebrate Marilyn and her journey! 🙌

Through the After 22 Program, Trevon learned essential skills📚 like communication, punctuality, and professionalism—skills that helped him thrive at Calabria Imports.
