Mayor Michelle Wu, the Mayor's Office of Human Services (OHS), and the Office of Returning Citizens (ORC) are pleased to announce applications are now being accepted for the FY2025 Returning Citizen Housing Support Grant! This year, we aim to empower organizations with a proven track record of housing assistance for formerly incarcerated Boston residents. Eligible programs will include those that focus on initiatives that directly address homelessness and general housing needs for formerly incarcerated individuals. Earlier this week our friends from CITY CHURCH BOSTON dropped off 100 "Welcome Back"-packs stocked with essential items such as clothing, toiletry items, and pre-loaded Charlie Cards for our community! We joined Pastor David W Hill and his team at Brighton Music Hall a couple weeks ago to assemble the backpacks, and we're grateful to have partners like City Church to collaborate in supporting Boston's returning citizens 🤝

We recently introduced TWO new Reentry Case Managers to our team, so we wanted to give them a formal introduction 👋 Divad, Ivone, and Joanna work closely with returning citizens who have registered with the ORC to provide individualized services such as insurance registration, college applications, obtaining a MassID, and more depending on an individual's unique needs.
