Over the last couple of months, when I think of community and what makes the most sense to articulate, this phrase "Come for the Product, Stay for the Community" is one that always sticks out. A great product can capture attention, but it’s the community around it that creates lasting value. In today's world, people don’t just want a solution—they want to feel connected, be inspired, and belong to something bigger. That’s where the magic of community comes in. Whether it’s a professional network, a learning hub, or a fan base, "communities transform transactional experiences into human ones"—and that’s what keeps people engaged. 💬✨ So, the next time you think about your product, ask yourself: how are you building a community around it that makes people want to stay? Have something to add? A different perspective? Let's Chat! #CommunityBuilding #ProductDesign #CustomerExperience #Belonging #Engagement #Growth

Time flies when you're moving at e.l.f. speed! 🚀 🔥 It's been a little over 1 month at E.L.F. BEAUTY as a Community Manager. To celebrate, here are the top three things I've (re)learned while working in the beauty-verse: 1️⃣ Community is everything: No surprise here! Our international community of e.l.f.z are beauty obsessed and always tell it like it is. Diving into community insights show the true power of listening, and it's so apparent why e.l.f. is an industry leader: because our ears are to the ground for our consumer's every beauty desire. Our BFe.l.F.s are the heartbeat of our brand, and their voices drive us to be the bold disruptors we know we are! With hundreds of thousands of mentions daily from posts, comments, tags, and chats. They love us, and the feeling is mutual. 2️⃣ There’s no speed like e.l.f. speed: The beauty world moves fast, and so do we. Adaptability and agility are what I've witnessed here, helping e.l.f. turn insights into action almost in real-time. Being open to feedback and transforming our community's wish lists into product on shelf is like having a superpower. 3️⃣ Kind hearts win: With the jitters of starting a new job, I was reminded by everyone I met in onboarding of our organization's true values. In my 1:1 huddles, I asked team members for words of advice. I was empowered with "don't be afraid to make mistakes, over communication is better than no communication, bring every idea to the table, and trust yourself." These sentiments were reminders that even at a global company like e.l.f. there is still space at the table for me to try, discover, and ask for help. It’s not just about the products we create but the community we cultivate both internally with employees, and externally with our consumer. 🫂 Loving every moment of this journey and excited for what’s ahead to have a hand in engaging with the best community on the e.l.f.ing planet. 🫶✨ #elfBeauty #CommunityManager #lifeatELF #elfProud

🌟 Reflecting on a Month of Community Leadership🌟 Hey LinkedIn community! As we mark one month of leading our incredible community of close to 100 members, I'm thrilled to share some valuable insights I've gained along the way. Founding and managing a thriving community is no small feat, and it's been an exhilarating, sometimes exhaustive, journey of growth and learning. Despite facing obstacles like declining interactions, we've remained focused on our commitment to foster engagement and drive meaningful collaboration and discussions. A few key lessons I've learned: In the dynamic world of online communities, flexibility is key. Adapting to shifting dynamics and member needs has been crucial to our success, and genuine connections are the heart of any community. By continually being transparent and authentic, we hope to cultivate a culture of trust and camaraderie. Introducing fresh ideas and initiatives keeps our community engaged and excited. Our upcoming projects are proof of our commitment to innovation and progress. Despite the challenges, we have two very promising projects lined up that I'm eager to share with you all. Stay tuned for updates on these innovative concoctions! To my fellow founders, software developers, and online community leaders, I invite you to connect, learn from each other, and drive positive change in our industries. If you'd like to learn more about our community and the lessons we've learned, or if you're interested in joining our upcoming projects, feel free to connect with me. I'd love to chat! #CommunityLeadership #ThoughtLeader #OnlineCommunity #Engagement #Innovation #ChangeManagement #GenZ #SaaS #SoftwareDevelopment #CommunityBuilding #LearnAndGrow

An extra 5 seconds That's how long it usually takes to show someone you care. And it goes a LONG way, so much further than you'd expect. It's the difference between building engagement in a community and wondering why no one participates. It's the difference between working with colleagues who back your initiatives (because they know you are in it for the company and customers) and scraping by while trying to get more teams to buy into your programs. Take the extra 5 seconds and show people they matter. It makes a huge difference. #customers

What an incredible milestone for the LutherOne team! We’ve been on an exciting journey to democratize data and transform how organizations handle engagement, feedback, and performance management. Winning 26 Capterra awards, including Best Value and Ease of Use, feels like the perfect recognition of the work we’ve put into building a truly seamless experience for our clients. From day one, our goal has been to create a system that connects everything from engagement to real-time feedback, all backed by powerful analytics—and we’ve done it in a way that’s accessible, intuitive, and just works. Whether it’s through our mobile app or on the web, our users have direct access to the insights they need, whenever they need them. And now, with our expansion into the USA, we're bringing this game-changing platform to even more companies. Seeing how our clients are embracing LutherOne and benefiting from the analytics, engagement, and performance solutions we offer has been unbelievable. These awards are proof that we’re on the right track. Here’s to more growth, more impact, and making it even easier for organizations to unlock the full potential of their people, wherever they are. Lets talk about Communities. People are always asking me why I invest so much of my spare time to running two totally FREE, volunteer run communities. I believe to my bones that THIS is where it's at, communities are what enable us, what inspire us, what support us through tough times and big challenges. I am honoured to be the founder of two incredible communities made so by the people in them and how they support each other.... not by the simple action of creating them 🤷♀️ 😜 If you are a female product leader and want to give back, get the chance to step onto a platform and be a thought leader, inspire female leaders of tomorrow and be reminded how awesome you are, get your mojo back if you've had a kickin' or just want to meet other awesome female product leaders the please join us at The Female Product Lead which is also for..... Female product leaders of tomorrow - if you are an SPM, Lead PM, GPM pushing into your first leadership role or wanting to know what good looks like in female product leadership then FPL is for you too - you can be mentored formally or ad hoc through the various channels we offer (Slack, WhatsApp, in person or virtual events) - be lifted up, feel inspired, know you have got the support from a community of incredible people - Join Now We have BIG plans for 2025 and want you to be a part of them - we are also recruiting for many volunteer roles in the community so DM me if you want to be a part of our awesome and ever growing team. Now we get to Mental Health and wellbeing of product professionals. We all acknowledge that the role of product is tough, demanding and often leads to burn out. Any and all of the product family are welcome (Product Design, Marketing, Management and Ops) So if you are either someone who struggles with mental health and wellbeing OR wants to support those who do then this community is for you, Join us Product Mind Community to be a part of creating the change in how we both talk about MHW and how we find the path to surviving and thriving with these challenges. Both communities are FREE now and FREE FOREVER We create a safe space for people to come and find the support and connections they need

To engage authentically and provide thoughtful help to others... Seems obvious when you say it like that, but it really is what building a #community comes down to! Something I've realized as I learn more about community building, is that while the daily challenges we all face seem to be hyper-personal, they really aren't! Hundreds of others going through similar stages as you are face similar problems every single day. But the feeling of singularity can often block us from progressing to the next stages of our careers and even our lives. That's why community is so important today. Being a part of a great community means understanding that there is no singularity, and that there are others facing the same things as you, and that they are more than willing to connect with you so that, together, you can create progress. That's why it is so important to engage authentically with others when building a community! To show them that you are not offering playbooks and articles, but something that is way bigger than that in the form of connection and sharing of knowledge, experiences, and reciprocity. That's what I've been experiencing as I build the Redwood Grove Community alongside our members, partners, customers, and team members at Growth. The great speakers at the Community-Led Alliance summit a few weeks back shared a similar experience as well! 💡 I haven't talked much about the summit yet, but you can bet there is a post coming with my takeaways from what was such a fantastic experience! But in the end it really comes down to those two simple things. Give without expecting a get. Be authentically human! Thanks for the shoutout, Community-Led Alliance! 😄 #communitybuilding #communitymanagement
