Between October 10th and 15th, 2024, the Abiy Ahmed regime in Ethiopia carried out more than 23 military drone and jet strikes. These attacks specifically targeted civilians and public infrastructure. The strikes massacred more than 300 civilians and caused widespread destruction of properties in the North, West, and East Gojjam Zones of the Amhara Region. Key targets included schools, health centers, churches, farmers' homes, and other essential public services. The attacks disrupted access to education, healthcare, and religious services and severely impacted economic activities, trade, and agricultural livelihoods. Israeli airstrikes and shelling near Gaza's Rafah have killed at least 37 Palestinians, mostly seeking shelter in tents. This incident, occurring overnight and into Tuesday, follows a deadly fire in the same area that killed 45 Palestinians. The fire, which erupted in a camp for displaced people, is under investigation, with the Israeli military suggesting it may have been caused by secondary explosions from militants' weapons. The international community, including Spain, Norway, and Ireland, responded with condemnation and formally recognized a Palestinian state.
