🚀 Marketing & Sales: A Lesson from My Journey! Over my 6 years in sales within Surat's IT industry, I’ve learned many lessons. Here’s one of them: 💡 Collaboration between marketing and sales is essential—it’s not revolutionary, but it’s something every company and professional in our field should embrace. Marketing creates awareness, sales closes deals, and drive results together. When these teams work hand-in-hand, the customer experience improves, and businesses grow. As Steve Jobs said: "Great things in business are never done by one person. They're done by a team of people." 💡 Takeaway: Align these teams for better synergy and watch the impact it creates! 👉 What are some lessons you’ve learned in your journey? Two frequently asked questions, I have encountered whenever I attended Surat IT BDM Community meet-ups. 1. What's your secret sauce for closing deals? 💯 2. How do you find leads during economic slow down? 🔕 Even though sailing same boat, 🙂 I also find myself in question mark position but I’ve discovered that striking a balance between 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 and 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 working well for my Treta Infotech company. 🤝 If I keep it short to explain, One of the biggest challenges is understanding when to 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 and when to dig into their pain points to 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐚 𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 is all about showing your client what’s possible. Many times, you’ll encounter businesses that know they need to evolve but aren’t sure how. This is your opportunity to sell a 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭. If you crack this, 🙂 I am sure your client conversation will shift from “How much does this cost?” to “𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭?” In contrast, 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 requires you to focus on solving a client’s immediate, well-understood problems. This approach is about listening, diagnosing, and providing a solution that feels uniquely crafted for them. Being into Sales, We should know, When to switch between the two. 👂 #Sales #ITSales #ConceptSelling #Consultativeselling

I get interrupted by cold calls all the time. During my deep work/ my meditations / my meetings/ my family and my leisure hours. This makes me very very annoyed and angry with the state if India today I believe, cold calling is the most nonsensical activity invented by some neanderthal sales strategists. Their defense : It has a success rate of 1- 1.5% and that 1 % conversion makes up for the cost of upto 99% failures. I think those 1% people who let cold callers succeed, owe apology to humanity and need behavior correction. This is what I do : 1. Call location shows Ahmedabad/ Indore./ First rejection filter. Reject the call, block the number. These 2 cities are the spam capitals of India 2. If no location, and unknown number and if I accept the call I ask where they got my number from // Generally they say - Our Mgt provided. // 2nd rejection filter (End thecall, block number ETCBN= 3. If a known person reference exists, I ask did I mention anywhere that I need your goods/services ??? // The answer is NO always. ETCBN 4. Catch all WHY THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING A NUMBER REGISTERED UNDER DND AND ANNOYING ME?????? Generally, this ends the current and subsequent call.. etc ETCBN Why these calls come to DND number in first place ? Sanghis murdered the DND scheme. It was a very effectively designed and executed framework by Late Pranab Mukherjee and the then telecom minister. // I will cover it in some other posts

As an #alumna of #iihmru #jaipur & #iim #iiml Just bcz they were so much focussed on their #internalcustomer means we as a student The way they have treated us during our #tenure I am a #fan #day #night , I will always in support of both #institute #theforeverbond #with the #college #professors #staff #forwholelife Forced me to write on internal customer topic today Internal customers are extremely important for word-of-mouth publicity, as they can become brand ambassadors and help spread positive feedback about your organization. Here's why internal customers are crucial for word-of-mouth publicity: _Who are Internal Customers?_ Internal customers are employees, stakeholders, and partners within your organization who interact with your products or services. They may not be the end-users, but they play a vital role in delivering value to external customers. _Why are Internal Customers Important?_ 1. *Brand Ambassadors*: Internal customers can become brand ambassadors, sharing their positive experiences with others, including external customers, friends, and family. 2. *Word-of-Mouth Publicity*: Internal customers can generate buzz about your organization through word-of-mouth publicity, which is a powerful marketing tool. 3. *Increased Loyalty*: When internal customers feel valued and satisfied, they're more likely to remain loyal to your organization, reducing turnover and increasing retention. 4. *Improved Customer Experience*: Internal customers can provide feedback and insights that help improve the customer experience, leading to increased satisfaction and loyalty among external customers. 5. *Reduced Negative Word-of-Mouth*: Internal customers can help mitigate negative word-of-mouth publicity by addressing concerns and issues promptly, reducing the likelihood of external customers sharing negative experiences. _How to Engage Internal Customers?_ 1. *Communicate Effectively*: Keep internal customers informed about your organization's mission, values, and goals. 2. *Recognize and Reward*: Recognize and reward internal customers for their contributions, milestones, and achievements. 3. *Provide Feedback Mechanisms*: Establish feedback mechanisms that allow internal customers to share their thoughts, ideas, and concerns. 4. *Empower and Enable*: Empower and enable internal customers to make decisions, take ownership, and provide excellent service to external customers. 5. *Foster a Positive Culture*: Foster a positive culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and teamwork among internal customers. By engaging and satisfying internal customers, you can create a loyal and enthusiastic group of brand ambassadors who will help spread positive word-of-mouth publicity about your organization. #internalcustomer #iihmr #iim

I studied in Sastra University when my parents lived in Chennai. Later on, my parents moved to Thanjavur after I moved to Chennai for work Legend has it they were trying to run away from me (story for another time 😂) What this means is, I have been travelling between Chennai / Thanjavur / Trichy circles for ~9 yrs Now, one of the restaurants Giridhar and Akshay introduced me to was Kurunji Hotel right next to the bus stop It was convinient because we could catch the bus right before / after, and could beat the heat quick if it was hot Their specialty was their podi rice which I’ve loved for a long time now Of course they had a great product, but their service was even more excellent and one of the core reasons was Rengarajan. He’s an old stout guy with a great smile (look at him :)) Every time I came, he took great care of me. How? ✅ Consistently asked me to try new chutneys (feature adoption) ✅ Never let my plate empty. Kept filling it up (felt like he was my grandma) ✅ Suggested dishes that went well with my current choice (upselling) ✅ Always sported a beautiful smile (made me want to talk to him) Today, I told him how good he is and immediately he gave me a special Sambhar, Chutney, and Podi that was out of my order ————————————————————— There’s an important sales lesson to learn from people like Rengarajan: Customer Service is the best form of Selling 💯 The way you treat your customer through your ToFu can give you some unfair advantages: ✅ Your website experience ✅ Free resources ✅ Free trials ✅ How easy is it to get a human on the call? ✅ Demo Request Emails ✅ Discovery Calls ✅ Generic YT Demos ✅ Understanding their pain through these touches ✅ Followup emails ✅ Your understanding if they ghost you ✅ Your compassion if they chose a competition ✅ Your respect for their decisions (shows your maturity) These things matter a lot more than you might think Because customers are watching you every minute, making judgments if you can be trusted Every time you make them feel big Every time you make them feel stupid Every time you make them feel small They’re watching, feeling, and remembering If you truly want to learn sales in depth, you need learn from the good B2C Sales reps. They have it brutal and if they’re good, odds are you can learn a thing or two from them

Struggling with low-quality leads? Here’s a quick fix that works! If your client keeps flagging poor-quality leads, here’s what you can do: - Collect details on the low-quality leads (name, email, phone number). - Use that data to create a lookalike audience—and exclude it from your campaigns. I’ve implemented this hack across multiple accounts, and the results speak for themselves: a 35%-45% improvement in lead quality. Try it, and let me know how it works for you! #CTAIndia #jaipur #digitalmerketingagency #performancemarketer #clientdiscussion #marketingagency #sales #ecommerce #website #socialmediamarketing #jaipuragency #leads
