Last week, the #3TR team was at the ECCO Congress 2025, showcasing new insights on IBD. 🔍💡 In a poster exhibition, Florian Tran presented results of a study on shared immune pathways between IBD and RA, conducted within the framework of several research initiatives, including the 3TR project. Great example of how cross-disease research can help deepen our understanding of chronic inflammation and effective treatment strategies! 🔬 #3TR #ECCO25 #RA #IBD #ChronicInflammation

Wrapping Up EFCCA at ECCO 2025! 🔬 Over 8,000 IBD specialists, researchers, patient advocates and IBD stakeholders gathered in Berlin for the 20th ECCO Congress, and EFCCA was delighted to be part of the conversation! 📢 A key highlight for us was our conference, where we presented insights from our Patient Preference Survey, shedding light on what truly matters to people living with IBD. Thank you to our incredible panel of experts and patient representatives who contributed to this crucial discussion! 💡Beyond the conference, we had a dedicated information booth, two poster presentations, and countless inspiring meetings with our members and key stakeholders. It was a pleasure connecting, exchanging ideas, and reinforcing our commitment to improving IBD care worldwide. At #ECCO25, we presented new results from a phase 2b study demonstrating the potential of an investigational TL1A monoclonal antibody in patients with #UlcerativeColitis and #CrohnsDisease, the two most common forms of #InflammatoryBowelDisease. The results represent a significant step forward in the exploration of anti-TL1A as an emerging area of immunology research and its potential to address the often debilitating symptoms of #IBD. 💡 Beyond Skin, Gut, and Brain: Understanding Disease Connections by Why and How Diseases Happen, Not Just Where. We have a new plain language summary on one of our latest #BIOMAP_IMI papers (Link in comments!). Key findings: 1️⃣ A map of 500 disease relationships based on their underlying mechanisms and processes challenges traditional views of diseases, since diseases only partially fit into “organ groups”. 2️⃣ Known relationships between diseases such as #psoriasis and inflammatory bowel diseases could be replicated by this data-informed approach that does not rely on prior assumptions. 3️⃣ Inflammatory and metabolic diseases showed a link to neurodegenerative diseases, with type 2 diabetes and Alzheimer's displaying an interestingly high similarity.
