Today, we are pleased to share a significant and long-awaited update—Aisle has successfully undergone an ownership transition and is now under the leadership of Lux Perry, the bright young founder of somedays. Lux will be taking the reins as CEO, while Suzanne Siemens transitions to COO and Madeleine Shaw becomes Chief Impact Officer. The acquisition honours Aisle’s legacy in the reusable period care space and our dedication to menstrual advocacy, which has guided the brand for over three decades. As a founding-Canadian and the top ranked period-care #bcorporation in the world, Aisle is proud to be the original #periodunderwear brand. Together, Somedays and Aisle will yield North America's most comprehensive range of period care products. We look forward to exploring and introducing innovative new products to create a vibrant and promising future for menstrual health. Have Lunapads or Aisle made a difference in your life? You may have noticed that there have been A LOT of changes here at Aisle over the past few months. One of the biggest changes being that our incredible, trailblazing founders have officially handed over the reins of their 30 year legacy—to me! If we haven't been introduced yet; I’m Lux, I’m 31, I’m queer, I have endometriosis, I founded somedays (the largest selection of period pain relief), and I’m officially the new CEO of Aisle. (More about being a double CEO soon 😅 ) When I heard Aisle needed a shakeup, I just had to jump in. This place has been looking out for the health of people who menstruate for over 30 years, and now it needs our help? Count me in. Which leads me to my next point. If you follow me online, you know that I'm a big fan of radical transparency so I’m going to be really honest with you—Aisle is struggling. You know how presidents have their first 100 days in office to prove themselves? Well I’ve got 60. And my first order of business is asking you to check out this quick video where we get very very real with you about what we need to do to survive this. Link to video in comments. Please Like, Comment, Share and follow along to see if we can turn this ship around. We can’t do it without you.

The Aisle team is proud to announce our partnership with Food Banks Canada | Banques alimentaires Canada to provide Aisle pad kits to Canadians experiencing #periodpoverty as part of the #menstrualequity pilot generously funded by WAGE / FEGC. Our co-founders Suzanne Siemens and Madeleine Shaw were thrilled to have the opportunity to personally deliver kits to a BC food bank and see firsthand how reusable menstrual products are a vital part of achieving sustainable menstrual equity. See link in comments to learn more about the program and its partners.

Hi! If we haven’t met yet, I’m Lux founder and CEO of somedays. I spent 15 years being dismissed by doctors, even though severe period pain impacted every aspect of my life, from school and work to infertility and my mental health. Frustrated with the lack of resources and options available to me, I launched somedays out of my apartment during the pandemic. Our brand and team has grown exponentially since then and we have been educating the world about endometriosis and pain relief, transforming how people manage period pain. Somedays has reached over three billion people with our viral activations to raise awareness (that’s a lot of people talking about periods!). Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women (and people with periods) worldwide. But despite being excruciatingly painful and debilitating, it takes an average of seven to 15 years to get diagnosed because it’s so commonly overlooked by medical professionals. As part of Endometriosis Awareness Month this March, I’m trying to get in front of as many audiences as possible to spread the word and help people get diagnosed faster, and in turn, the appropriate care. No one should suffer as I have. I’m a passionate and knowledgeable speaker, well-known in the endo community for my patient advocacy and awareness campaigns. I’m available for virtual or in-person interviews and can bring the period pain simulator — which always makes for dynamic content! Do you want to help me tell this story, or know someone who might? Send me a DM! Lux

2023 was an incredible year for #menstrualhealth and #menstrualequity in Canada! Our team and colleagues fighting #periodpoverty have a great deal to be proud of, with more to come in 2024. Here are a few highlights.

Today marks an important #menstrualequity milestone in Canada. Thanks to the efforts of SMEC and our #periodequity colleagues, as of today, federally-regulated workplaces across the country are required to provide free menstrual products to their team members. This will impact close to half a million Canadians who work at banks, airports, postal, communications offices and Indigenous self governments. Smart comments from colleagues Rachel Ettinger, MBA and Meghan White in this CBC coverage. PS: there is a Canadian women and immigrant-led brand providing sustainable options including commercial dispensers available, our friends at joni® 21st-Century Period Care!
