🎯 Innovation Week in the Netherlands! 🎯   The Netherlands has a rich research and innovation ecosystem which addresses today’s most pressing issues, from #health, #foodsecurity and #water to #sustainability, #circularsystems and beyond. We often mention this in our work in India, but it was inspiring to see the ecosystem live in action during our Innovatie Attaché Netwerk / IA (Netherlands Innovation Network) Fall Visit. With 34 IAs from 14 countries, this week visit provided a perfect platform for the India team to connect and explore international developments and strategies in the coming years. 🌐🇳🇱   Our team specifically visited leading applied research institutes such as TNO, Deltares and NLR - Netherlands Aerospace Centre, which excel in valorizing science and turning research into impact. A Week of Innovation and Collaboration: Advancing the Bioeconomy Together!  🇳🇱 🇮🇳 What an incredible journey this past week has been! The Netherlands Innovation Mission on #Biorefineries, #Bioenergy, and #Biochemicals has successfully wrapped up its journey through three cities: #Delhi, #Pune, and #Mumbai. This mission was inspired by the Mission Innovation multilateral programme, where #India and the #Netherlands are co-leading the Integrated Biorefineries track. The aim of the trip was to explore opportunities for collaboration between both countries, particularly in the #bioeconomy sector 🎯 Throughout the mission, we introduced the Mission Innovation Integrated Biorefineries programme and the https://lnkd.in/dazbU6Zj - a tool from the Mission Innovation programme, which helps connect industries and research institutions looking to collaborate in areas like bioenergy, biochemicals, and biomaterials. We also highlighted the #HorizonEurope research call on Integrated Energy-Driven Biorefineries, co-funded by Department of Biotechnology India, encouraging joint projects between Indian and Dutch partners. ✨ During the innovation mission, we engaged with key institutions like Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, TERI - The Energy and Resources Institute, Praj Industries, CSIR- National Chemical Laboratory, and Somaiya Vidyavihar University in Mumbai besides our visits to IFAT India & India Chem 2024. Discussions were focused on bioenergy goals, innovation gaps, advanced research in biochemicals, and opportunities for collaboration between India and the Netherlands. At India Chem 2024, the Netherlands was acknowledged as the #country #partner, with Honorable Minister J P Nadda of Ministry Of Chemicals & Fertilizers India highlighting India's interest in partnering with global players on biochemicals and broader chemicals area. 🏆 As we conclude this mission, we look forward to building on these connections and fostering even stronger partnerships in the #bioeconomy. A week full of interactions on #water treatment solutions from 14-18th October! The Dutch water amr mission to India kicked of the week with Kerela Water Authority in Trivandrum and Kerala State Pollution Control Board where they discussed about monitoring complex pollutants, like antibiotica in drinking and waste water. Dr Peter A. Behnisch from #Biodetectionsystems along with #RAI, Rene Bos and Leo Verstappen continued to #IFAT India in Mumbai, and took part in the NL pavilion, along with NX Filtration and Paques and other Dutch companies of the Dutch waste mission, who showcased Dutch #innovative solutions in #waste and #watermanagement. The joint Dutch #Pavilion was a great occasion for the visitors at IFAT to mingle and connect with different Dutch missions, including also the mission on biorefineries, biochemicals and bioenergy and to showcase our joint ambition for a #sustainable and green future. The week concluded with a panel discussion at IFAT on water solutions organized by Mirjam van Buchem NWP (Netherlands Water Partnership) with panelists Dr Peter Behnisch and Rick te Lintelo from NX Filtration. And last but not least, an in depth interaction with #researchers at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay @Department of Environmental Science and Engineering on water and amr gave enough thoughts and leads for follow up interactions. The Innovation Mission on #Biorefineries, #Bioenergy and #Biochemicals has arrived in Pune - one of India’s prime biotech innovation hubs.  We kicked off the day with a visit to Praj Industries, and toured their cutting-edge labs, exploring research on #biochemicals, #bioplastics, and their SAF testing facility. It was inspiring to hear about the expanding Praj portfolio, particularly in Europe. 💯 We also visited CSIR- National Chemical Laboratory, one of India’s top chemistry research institutes, where we delved into the country's #BioE3 policy and #BioRIDE schemes. A roundtable ensued on technology exchange and joint research with key institutions like Maharashtra Association for the Cultivation of Science, Agarkar Research Institute , Agarkar Road, Pune 411004 Pune Knowledge Cluster, National Center for Cell Science , Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune and more. 💡 We concluded our visit with a dinner reception, connecting with stakeholders in #bioenergy, #biochemicals, #hydrogen, and the broader #bioeconomy. 🧬🧫⛽💰 Thank you for your warm welcome Pune.
