The Montenegro Convention Bureau within the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro presented the offer of the destination at the specialized fair of the congress industry "IBTM World", which took place from November 19 to 21 this year, in Barcelona. The Montenegrin delegation was led by the President of the Executive Board of the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro, Miško Radjenović and the Director of the Montenegro Convention Bureau Aleksandra Maksimovic together with representatives of the Ministry of Tourism of Montenegro, at one of the most significant B2B events for the business travel industry. On that occasion, Maksimović pointed out that this fair is an opportunity to present the unified MICE offer of Montenegro. "For Montenegro, the development of this type of tourism is extremely important, first of all because it offers the possibility of overcoming seasonality and generating more income from tourism, considering that MICE events usually take place outside the main tourist season, most often on weekdays, and ensure a stable level demand, booking and revenue throughout the year. In addition, it is significant that business travelers stay longer and spend more per trip. The "bleisure" trend is noticeable - ie. combining business trips with an extended stay in the destination for leisure and fun, which is an opportunity for the growth of tourism, according to the new research," Maksimović said. At the stand of the Montenegro Convention Bureau, as part of the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro, the destination's offer was presented by local tourism organizations of TO Podgorica (Dragan Grnovic) Budva and Tivat (Tourism Organisation of Tivat), as well as Montenegro Stars Hotel Group(Spasenija Kika Puric), Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort(Božović Lidija) , Luštica Bay Montenegro(Elnara Huseynova), Avala Resort & Villas(Nemanja Kuljic), Hilton Podgorica(Bojan Kovacevic), and travel agencies Explorer(EXPLORER D.O.O. Luka Bulatovic) , Meridian(Svetlana Radulovic), Luminalis Events(Natasa Spiric), Montenegro In Style(Korkut Oyal) and Venn Tour Balkan(Andri S.).

At the 108th General Assembly of the European Travel Commission (ETC) held today in Luxembourg, the Director of the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro, PhD Ana Tripković Marković, was elected Vice President of ETC with 20 out of 25 votes from member states. PhD Ana Tripkovic Markovic addressed the representatives of ETC member states, emphasizing the key role of the ETC in promoting and developing tourism, especially for countries like Montenegro. “The election of a new ETC Vice President, for the first time coming from Montenegro, represents an important step forward for our country, confirming its growing influence in European tourism and European institutions. My three-year mandate opens the door to more intensive promotion of sustainable tourism and regional initiatives within the ETC, further strengthening Montenegro's position as a reliable and active partner in the development of the European tourism sector. During my tenure as ETC Vice President, I will strive to ensure that the unique potentials and challenges of each country are successfully integrated into the broader European tourism framework, for the benefit of all members,” said Dr. Tripković Marković. The President of the European Travel Commission, Miguel Sanz, welcomed the Director of the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro, PhD Ana Tripković Marković, to the ETC Presidency.

🌍 Montenegro at WTM London: Record Interest and New Flights for 2024/25! 🌍 The National Tourism Organization of Montenegro and Ministry of Tourism of Montenegro proudly presented our country at the World Travel Market in London. TTG Media, a leading publication in the travel and tourism industry, has just published an article spotlighting why easyJet and other travel leaders are increasingly focused on Montenegro. In the article, Montenegro is presented as a destination that attracts visitors with its unique charm, blending stunning landscapes, rich history, and culture. 🏆 The Cultural Route "Roman Emperors and Danube Wine Route" Wins Prestigious Award in Visegrád At the 13th Annual Cultural Routes Forum of the Council of Europe, held in Visegrád (Hungary), the "Roman Emperors and Danube Wine Route" was honored with the prestigious "Cultural Routes Best Practice Award" in the "Research and Development" category. This award results from partners' joint efforts in the #RomansWineDanube project, including the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro. PhD, Ana Tripkovic Markovic, Director of The National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro, emphasized the importance of this recognition: "This award confirms the quality of our joint efforts in preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage along the route," said PhD, Tripković Marković. She highlighted the role of Duklja in the project, noting that this ancient site is a key link in showcasing the Roman heritage within the territory of Montenegro. "I am confident that Duklja's inclusion in this prestigious route will further strengthen Montenegro's position on Europe's cultural tourism map and contribute to creating a unique tourism product that combines ancient heritage with modern tourism trends," concluded Tripković Marković.
