Last minute Christmas T Shirt anyone?
Now that the weather's baltic, we thought it'd be a good idea to start selling t-shirts 😂 OK, maybe not so great for the beach in December. But perfect for the Corn Exchange Cupar when you're a few drams in to the Fife Whisky Festival and start to feel all roasty toasty 🥃 Head over to our Merch page where there'll be another button for you to click before you can buy anything 😉 https://lnkd.in/eXWf6j53

🛰️ Fife College is thrilled to announce the launch of new courses to support Scotland’s fast growing space industry. This initiative marks a pioneering venture, introducing an entirely new area of study aimed at equipping the student community with the skills and knowledge to pursue employment in companies building satellites or using space data! Don’t miss out on the taster course 👇 Business Gateway Fife, Fife Chamber of Commerce, Skills Development Scotland, Kieran Hunter
Experienced geospatial professional with over 3 decades in the commercial, international sector. Excited to share and pass on my knowledge and perspective to a new generation in this expanding industry.
Did you know that Ducks symbolise Travel? Yesterday, groups of ducks flew over my head in rural Fife. Many species of duck migrate great journeys; enduring high winds, frigid temperatures and other challenges in search of milder weather. So if a duck crosses your path, it is said to be a sign to 'Start Planning your next Journey.' Please circulate Fife College's new accelerator course that covers many aspects of Mapping, Space, Sustainability and Data Analytics. Let's enable the new generation to start their career Journey into monitoring the Planet. Feel free to share out our Taster Course and 'How to Apply' to start in February: https://lnkd.in/ek5JzYa7

At our Fife College Dunfermline Learning Campus project, we stood down with the workforce to reflect on the year, celebrate their successes, offer our thanks to the team and enjoy a hot breakfast roll, provided by our social enterprise catering partner, Giraffe, who are operating on site. We were able to share the achievements of the project over the year and offer our thanks to the full project team for their commitment and support. We were also able to talk about why the catering provision reflects our core aspirations of maximum social impact delivery by having such a fantastic social enterprise as part of our team. We were able to deliver all of this in our innovative and inclusive site compound that has been delivered with wellbeing and staff experience at the core of its design and its facilities. In the realm of construction, prioritising wellbeing is not merely a nice to have; it is a fundamental necessity that profoundly impacts both individuals and the industry as a whole. The inherently demanding nature of construction work, characterised by physical exertion, potential hazards, and tight deadlines, underscores the critical need for a comprehensive approach to wellbeing and the spaces we provide. Through our investment in these facilities, we hope to demonstrate that when workers experience a high level of wellbeing, encompassing good physical and mental health, job satisfaction, and a supportive work environment, several positive outcomes can ensue. Firstly, a workforce that feels valued and cared for is more likely to demonstrate heightened commitment, resulting in lower turnover rates and greater continuity in skilled labour. Moreover, we want to target a noticeable enhancement in productivity as individuals are better equipped to focus, make sound decisions, and execute tasks efficiently. Beyond these gains, we hope that prioritising wellbeing can foster a culture of safety, reducing accidents and injuries on site, not only safeguarding the health of workers but contributing to improved project productivity. In essence, we believe the connection between wellbeing and construction quality is a symbiotic one, reinforcing the notion that the industry's success is intricately tied to the health and happiness of its people. Throughout 2024, we intend to measure the impact of our efforts and share our learning in a spirit of collaboration and constant improvement.

26% of Children in Fife Face Poverty. But you can make a difference. Donate to Fife Gingerbread's Heat and Eat Appeal.
✨ WE NEED YOU ✨ 📢 Latest figures show that 18,711 – or 26% – of children across Fife are living in poverty. This heartbreaking reality is higher than the Scottish average of 21.3%, with areas like Levenmouth, Kirkcaldy, Cowdenbeath, and Glenrothes facing even greater challenges. These statistics are not just numbers – they represent children growing up in cold homes, going without meals, and missing out on the magic of Christmas. 💔 This week, Linsey is taking over our social media – for our Heat and Eat Appeal – providing warmth, food, and festive joy to local families in need. You can help make a difference. 👉 Donate here: https://lnkd.in/e46kB9c4 Together, we can ensure every child in Fife feels safe, warm, and cared for this Christmas. 🎄💛
