We've launched an on-site flow meter calibration service utilising mobile flow rigs capable of testing all main flow technologies.   This is a fantastic resource for our customers as we can easily transport the rigs around the country for on-site calibration by one of our specialist engineers. This provides an efficient service that minimises downtime and offers massive cost savings over the traditional method of sending equipment away for calibration. The mobile flow calibration rigs use Coriolis reference flow meters, calibrated to UKAS national standards within an ISO17025 accredited facility. We've appointed Jack Gatensby to the newly created role of Net Zero and Sustainability Advisor to lead the creation and delivery of our ESG strategy 🌍 Integral to the role, Jack will be responsible for keeping the business abreast of the latest #netzero regulations and legislation, as well as advising on how our products and services support our customers' journey to net zero. As a business community, we are all under increasing pressure to reduce our environmental impact and we have been proactively tapping into the various resources and expertise available. We have clear objectives and measurements in place so we are not only able to meet our own decarbonisation goals, but can also support our clients meet theirs too. We were excited to attend GlobalScot Connect this week in Edinburgh. Our Net Zero and Sustainability advisor Jack Gatensby was there along with Director Robert Allan who presented at both sessions – online in the morning with Asia Pacific-based GlobalScots; and again, in person at the EICC. The event welcomed Scottish businesses to take centre stage and present their key business challenges to the GlobalScot network. As a long-established business, we continue to evolve, and as we diversify our offering to provide not just products, but full lifecycle management, data, and analytics, the event provided us with the opportunity to outline the specific challenges we face and gain valuable insights and advice from the GlobalScot network. Last year, we proactively began evaluating our #environmental impact with the aim of reducing our greenhouse gas emissions. ABB has introduced their first instrumentation product to receive an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).   The PGS300 Gauge Pressure Transmitter is designed for measuring liquid, gas, or steam pressure, and is key for the safety and efficiency in industries such as chemicals, oil & gas, and hydrogen.   An EPD is a verified report that transparently communicates information about a product’s environmental footprint throughout its lifecycle, based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). This helps businesses in achieve their Net Zero targets by enabling informed comparisons of products and materials to select the most sustainable option.
