🌱 Last week, Sébastien Le Roy, Partner at Serena, shared the stage with Célia SENGER-LOUAISIL (Comète), Marion de Robillard (Qonto), Sarah Huet (AFemaleAgency)an d Stephanie Leblanc (Swile), to discuss impact and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) as catalysts for change in the tech world. Thanks to all for this insightful conversation! 🔑 Main takeaways: 🤝 Sébastien showcased how venture capital, through partnerships like the one we formed with makesense (through Racine²), is pivotal in funding businesses that merge profitability with social and environmental solutions. 🦄 The adoption of technology for ESG is crucial for sustainable development. Tech companies like Swile are central to this. The concept of "impact unicorns" demonstrates how to integrate impact from inception, making it essential to the business model and value proposition. 📈 Stephanie from Swile illustrated how ESG initiatives, driven by regulatory and consumer pressures, are central to a company's competitiveness, branding, and sustainable development. 🚀 Qonto has integrated ESG principles into its strategy by establishing internal ESG governance and an impact committee. Attention to employees and investors' demand for clear ESG reporting and sustainable practices has also driven this shift. 👫 Célia from Cometh highlighted the role of gender diversity in enhancing corporate governance and competitiveness, showing the strategic advantage of feminizing executive committees. 📸 Photo : Sophie Derrien

We are pitching at ChangeNOW ! We will present the business model canvas of the regenerative company to our future investors on Monday March 25, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Here is our pitch ! Our Business Model Canvas of the Regenerative company – (REGEN)BMC – makes it possible to identify areas of degeneration, he potential for regeneration of a company's economic activity and to identify new regenerative products and services to be launched in a collaborative approach with a set of stakeholders brought together. It is a process structured over 5 workshops which allows each entity involved in the value chain of a product/service to integrate the socio-economic services to be provided into its own area of responsibility. Each stakeholder is thus able to anticipate the new processes to be implemented in shared governance. We are developing sectoral consulting versions of REGEN BMC to meet the specific needs of businesses and local authorities: food, fashion, alcohol, construction, tourism, banking and digital. And a coaching version of REGEN BMC for start-ups . 👉 Learn more about the #RegenBMC https://lnkd.in/erZGmfb5 ChangeNOW is one of the largest events dedicated to positive impact in France with an international dimension. The objective is clear: to propose solutions for the planet during conferences and round tables. Each year, personalities from different backgrounds participate who have in common a desire to respond to the major challenges of the future by inviting 400 speakers from 120 different countries and welcoming 1,200 investors. This year, they promise us to enter a sustainable and more human world on March 25, 26 and 27 at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris. 👉 Register https://lnkd.in/eNczTSuM NOUS SOMMES VIVANTS, LE COLLECTIF DE LA TRANSITION ECOLOGIQUE #NOUSSOMMESVIVANTS#NOUSSOMMESVIVANTS

I Think that corporates and startups should invest time in aligning their expectations and objectives. Corporates should understand that startups often prioritize market access over funding, while startups should recognize that corporates seek both internal improvements and new offerings for customers. A thorough onboarding process that fosters clear communication of needs and goals can prevent misalignments.

Funding round complete! 😅 (Pitch deck and process notes in first comment!) 10 years after leaving my job in the advertising and marketing industry, I’m pleased to announce the team at Provenance are officially disrupting it for good – with the support of S4S Ventures, Nordic Eye Venture & Growth Capital and more. With this latest $5M funding round, Provenance is moving beyond bringing credible sustainability claims to e-commerce. Going forward, we want to help the wider marketing and advertising industry cut greenwash from every campaign and customer touchpoint, whilst empowering marketeers with the data and confidence to bring social and environmental impact into their storytelling. Raising funding in this environment was super tough, and I am beyond proud of our talented, resilient team that made it possible by 🤝 Signing huge new enterprise retailer and brand customers (watch this space for launches this year!) 📈 Launching our database of 1.8m products with validated sustainability claims (the largest of it's kind!) 🛠️ Re-platforming (bye bye tech debt!) 🌱 Creating impact by influencing positive changes in hundreds of brand supply chains and in thousands of pieces of consumer marketing. I’m beyond excited for what’s next. Including further investments into our knowledge graph and AI capabilities, and expansion into new verticals and geographies. With the amazing Sanja Partalo and Scott Spirit now part of our board, it feels like anything is possible... I’ll leave you with the words of S4S Ventures’ Sir Martin Sorrell: “Sustainability isn’t just a good principle, it’s essential. No CEO should risk greenwashing as global regulations demand genuine commitment and Provenance provides vital data and frameworks for clients as they navigate this new normal. With Provenance, sustainability becomes a lever for growth. Brands that transparently share their green journey don’t just build trust, they win the market.” #Fundraise #Femalefounder #Bcorp #Sustainability #ImpactInvesting #InvestmentNews #CPGIndustry #GreenTech #TechForGood #AI #VentureCapital #StartupFunding #Greenwashing #GreenClaims

Reflecting on the Whirlwind of Innovation at #VivaTech! 🚀 After three exhilarating days at #VivaTech, we’re catching our breath and marveling at the incredible whirlwind of innovation that swept through Paris last week. The energy was contagious, and we were thrilled to be part of this spectacular edition that drew an impressive crowd of 165,000 visitors from all corners of the globe. The conference halls buzzed with excitement as attendees explored the lively aisles and packed rooms. It was a testament to the surging interest in technological advancement, a true celebration of progress! 🌟 AI took the center stage but Sustainability and Green IT were also high on the agenda of the event. The collective shift toward more responsible and sustainable IT practices is a movement we proudly champion. Our commitment to a greener future drives us forward, and seeing others share this vision was inspiring. 🌱 Amidst the hustle and bustle, we had the privilege of hosting over a hundred meetings. These one-on-one conversations and tours organized by HUB Institute (Digital & Positive Impact accelerator) and Wavestone were brimming with insights. We exchanged ideas with the brilliant minds behind Orange COMEX, as well as representatives from esteemed institutions like BNP Paribas, Bpifrance, MAIF, La Poste Groupe and LVMH. Together, we’re shaping the future of technology—one bright idea at a time! 💡 Startups and corporations converged, forging strategic partnerships that promise exciting collaborations. Our work took center stage at the Orange stand, thanks to the Women Entrepreneurs program, and on the EDF Impact Bridge. It’s heartwarming to see companies seek fresh perspectives from startups, fostering mutually beneficial synergies. A heartfelt shout-out to our dedicated team—the unsung heroes behind the scenes. Their unwavering commitment and boundless energy made it all possible. And to everyone who connected with us, thank you! The significance of industry-wide collaboration, relationship building, and the role of psychology to drive sustainable change took center stage at the GCA accelerator week in NYC. Here are our takeaways: ✔ Be brave, be confident “You have to be comfortable that things don’t go according to plan - that’s how you push innovation”. This quote by entrepreneur, celebrity chef, philanthropist and member of the GCA expert panel Miles Kubheka was a timely reminder that real change and true innovation comes with significant uncertainty. ✔ Build the right partnerships Partnerships can take many forms. Whether it’s with a new employee, new investor, an industry mentor, or a potential vendor, deciding who to partner with can be a business-critical decision. This was illuminated by CEO, investor and advisor Caroline Brown who in her session ‘Accessing Early-Stage Capital’ with investor and circular fashion expert Julia Viner, spoke about the importance of “curating the right people to invest”. ✔ Involve as many people as possible in the conversation U.S Program Director at Accelerating Circularity, Sarah Coulter encouraged the winners to think about the system as they’re growing their businesses and the ever increasing need to establish common goals and parameters between themselves and their partners. ✔ Harness the power of positivity Being an entrepreneur means wearing many different hats, and usually involves talking to and positioning a narrative with a wide range of people and organisations. To do so in a positive way that shows confidence, creates interest, and fosters trust, is not something that comes easily to many of us. Prof Carolyn Mair PhD emphasized the importance of understanding human behavior to effectively instigate change. Doom and gloom narratives often fail because they overwhelm individuals, making them feel powerless rather than empowered. ✔ Make time for the unexpected Many times, it was the coffee breaks, non-scheduled lunches and time in between workshops and sessions, that contributed to the magic that helped foster unexpected connections and synergies. As reminded by Christiane Dolva Törnberg, one of the Strategy Leads at the H&M Foundation, “the key word here is together”. Meat the Next had an incredible weekend of hard work! 🌟 Huge thanks to JCI for the invitation to the business forum where we showcased and shared insights on the theme: "Connect, Collaborate, Innovate." 🚀 The journey of a tech start-up is no walk in the park. It starts with a prototype, then market testing, seeking partnerships, and finding mentors. "Fail early, fail often, to succeed sooner." It’s inevitable to keep fine-tuning and failing, but we must adapt to changes quickly with flexibility. Meat the Next always believes in partnership, as love is the common language of all kinds. Aligned values attract like-minded partners. As the African proverb goes, “If you want to run fast, run alone. If you want to run far, run together.” 🌍 Thank you to everyone who has supported us - from refining proposals and presentations to honing business and marketing strategies, to providing technological support for continuous improvement and better community impact. 💪 We want to express our deepest gratitude to all of you. Follow your heart and stay attuned to the trends. 📈 Let's keep pushing boundaries and making a difference together! 💬 #TIGAMILK #MeattheNext #TigerNutMilk #TigerNutOatMilk #InnovateTogether #StartupJourney #CommunityImpact #JCI
