🚀 Hadean Energy: Pioneering Clean Hydrogen for Heavy Industry! 🌍 We’re excited to announce a major milestone in renewable hydrogen innovation! We have now clocked 1,000 hours of successful operation at BlueScope’s Port Kembla Steelworks, using real process steam as a feedstock. By using both waste heat and electricity, our breakthrough technology reduces electricity use by up to 30%, making hydrogen production more efficient and affordable—key to decarbonising hard-to-abate industries like steelmaking. Hadean Energy is now testing a modular design and preparing to showcase a 5kW demonstration unit as part of the Australia-UK Renewable Hydrogen Innovation Partnerships, paving the way for large-scale industrial pilots. Thanks to CSIRO, BlueScope, and our supporters for advancing industrial decarbonisation with us! #HydrogenInnovation #CleanEnergy #NetZero #HadeanEnergy
Our hydrogen trial steels the spotlight. 💡 We're thrilled to announce our game-changing hydrogen production technology trial at BlueScope’s Port Kembla Steelworks in New South Wales has been a success! The trial demonstrates that affordable and renewable hydrogen can be generated at scale to help decarbonise heavy industry. Our tubular solid oxide electrolysis (SOE) technology has clocked 1000 hours of successful operation in the trial with BlueScope Steel, which commenced in October this year. Unlike conventional hydrogen electrolysers, which rely heavily on electricity to split water into hydrogen and oxygen, our advanced SOE technology uses both waste heat (for example, steam from the steelworks) and electricity to produce hydrogen with greater efficiency.
