1-Year Friendship Anniversary

April 14th! It is an extremely important day to celebrate! Why? It’s Lauren Bowen and I’s 1-year friendship anniversary! On this day we found ourselves at the exact same place that we met a year later, Five County Stadium. We met on our first day working on the Carolina Mudcat’s promotions team just a year ago. You could say it was love at first sight. From the first meeting, we were attached at the hip, like we knew we would connect immediately. From that day on we were inseparable, I mean, of course, everything is a 2-person job, right? Many of our coworkers thought we were already friends and took the jobs together after seeing our friendship over the summer. After 5 months of being with each other 24/7, we were best friends. Lauren quickly became not just my “work bestie” but one of my very best friends. It’s crazy to think she has only been in my life a year considering the impact she has made. I am so thankful for the invisible string that pulled us together, right when I needed a friend like her in my life. Gary Kayye💜 CTS has always told us you’ll be so much happier in the workplace if you work with people you enjoy, and he couldn't have been more correct. I am blessed to work with Lauren and countless other amazing individuals in the Mudcats front office.

A year later we’re both back for our second year with the Carolina Mudcats. With Lauren now working as the promotions assistant and I working in Inside Sales, we’re poised for another summer making memories together. It just makes sense we’re celebrating our friendship anniversary in the same place. Here’s to celebrating a year of great memories, inside jokes, and belting Taylor Swift! Here’s to another summer of laughs, sleepovers, and game days! And here’s to many more years of friendship!
