The MUSIC Project (Materials for sUstainable Sodium Ion Capacitors) is a cutting-edge European research initiative that shares a common vision with #EMPHASIS: driving sustainable innovation in energy storage and advanced materials. While EMPHASIS focuses on the next generation of graphene-based supercapacitors, the MUSIC project pioneers sodium-ion capacitor (SIC) technology to develop high-performance, long-lasting, and sustainable energy storage solutions. 💡 Both projects align with the European Union’s goal of achieving a climate-neutral, zero-pollution economy by 2050, tackling the need for reliable and efficient energy storage for renewable energy, industry, and transportation. The MUSIC project responds to the growing demand for #supercapacitors with an energy density comparable to power batteries while maintaining the ability to recharge in seconds and sustain minimal efficiency loss over time. 🔋 The MUSIC project emphasizes sustainability by avoiding critical raw materials and incorporating a lifecycle assessment to ensure environmental and economic viability.
