🌟 Local Innovation, Global Impact 🌟 At Renewvia, we are continually inspired by the power of local initiatives to drive significant global impact. A prime example of this is our partnership with Yelele, a remarkable mini-grid owned and operated by Francis Ngimusia, a visionary entrepreneur from Turkana, Kenya. 🌍 Under Francis' leadership, this cornerstone of community development and empowerment in Turkana has become more than an energy provider; it's a source of pride and progress for the local community. This impactful project is supported by the generous funding from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, AECF, KKCF - Kakuma Kalobeyei Challenge Fund, IFC - International Finance Corporation, an Agence Française de Développement, whose contributions have been pivotal in bringing renewable energy solutions to underserved communities. 🌱 As part of our recent transaction with SteelFab, Inc., we are thrilled to include Mini-Grid Carbon Credits (MCCs) generated by Yelele. These credits are certified through Renewvia's rigorous processes, adhering to international standards while supporting grassroots renewable energy projects. 💡 Francis’ dedication to sustainable energy solutions and community upliftment exemplifies the potential of local enterprises to contribute meaningfully to global sustainability goals. By integrating these projects into the broader carbon credit market, Renewvia helps ensure that local heroes like Francis receive the recognition and economic benefit they deserve. 🤝 We are proud to support Yelele and are committed to empowering similar initiatives across the globe. It's through partnerships like these that we can turn local action into worldwide impact, one community at a time. #solarprogress #sdg7 #renewableenergy #renewableinvestment #cleanenergy #carboncredits #SteelFab #steelfabrication #corporatedecarbonization #kenya #minigrids #ruralelectrification #energyaccess #offgridsolar

Business ideas abound in many communities across #Africa. However, what often cuts those dreams short or renders them invalid, is the unavailability of reliable power. But with the provision of clean, reliable energy through for instance the deployment of clean energy mini-grids, many people's dreams are valid. Mrs Victorie, a trader in Mahasolo, #Madagascar has a dream to expand her business and has already visualized where everything in her ice-cream stand will go and is now awaiting the commissioning of the 148 kW PV plant with a lithium-ion battery containerized system project by the UEF in partnership Africa GreenTec, for her dream of becoming a renowned ice cream vendor to become a reality. #FinancingEnergyProsperity #CleanEnergy #Sustainability #SustainableEnergy #minigrid #offgridsolar #energyaccess #SustainableDevelopment #SolarPower #SolarEnergy #SolarPanels Damilola Ogunbiyi, Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP), The Rockefeller Foundation, IKEA Foundation, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Power Africa, Shell Foundation, The Carbon Trust, Good Energies Foundation, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Africa Minigrid Developers Association (AMDA), Bezos Earth Fund Anita Otubu, Abdulmumini Yakubu, José Otárola-Silesky, Inès Rachel Dushime, Francesco Bisleti, Harry Gibson, Onyeka Okoye, Getty Kasole

It is great to see that our revolutionary PV substructure PEG® EW is also being used on a ‘small scale’ all over the world at unserved areas, bringing better working and living conditions to many people. The following advantages of the PEG® EW system are particularly appreciated for Africa GreenTec's projects: - Simple & quick installation process - Installation can be carried out by low-skilled labour - No use of heavy machinery or trench excavation required - Effective logistics due to the extremely lightweight system - approx. 2.8 MW substructure fit in a std. container (12.2 m /40 ft) - PEG® needs 78% less steel compared to conventional systems - Adaptable to different soils (including sand and rocky soils) - And last but not least: PEG is probably the PV racking system with the highest density on the market (225% more energy yield compared to fixed tilt and tracking systems) CONCLUSION: PEG racking systems reduce labour, material, installation and operating costs while providing a robust solution that provides Africa with a stable power supply. https://lnkd.in/eB4ygCaq #SolarPower #SolarEnergy #Sustainability #renewableenergy #minigrid #energyaccess #peg #teamjurchen

Our objective, in coordination with our partners, is always to raise private sector investment in low carbon #energyinfrastructure. Watch @Alexandre CASTEL, CCO of WeLightAfrica explain the value of the UEF! You can learn more about us here: https://lnkd.in/dzKvR2q6 To summarize, we highlight bankable projects and offset financial risk with our grants. For WeLightAfrica’s ongoing operations in Madagascar, our financial support also enables long term sustainable operations in unserved areas where consumers are usually economically disadvantaged. We have disbursed $5.3m to 27 mini grids so far, securing 8,851 new or improved electricity connections that accelerate socio-economic development and help improve access to capital for off-grid energy developers. We're making sure #ruralelectrification financially empowers all while showing investors that they can spur the transition to clean energy too! #FinancingEnergyProsperity #SustainableDevelopment #SolarPower #CleanEnergy #EnergyAccess #Madagasscar #Solarpower #offgridsolar #minigrids #Welight Anita Otubu Abdulmumini Yakubu Inès Rachel Dushime Harry Gibson Onyeka Okoye Tavernier Louis Getty Kasole Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP), The Rockefeller Foundation, IKEA Foundation, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Power Africa, Shell Foundation, The Carbon Trust , Good Energies Foundation, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Africa Minigrid Developers Association (AMDA) , Bezos Earth Fund,

We believe in the power of inclusivity and impact, a belief that was vividly illustrated in our latest carbon credit collaboration. As part of SteelFab, Inc.’s journey to carbon neutrality, we're proud to spotlight the critical role of Mini-Grid Carbon Credits, sourced from the heart of rural Africa. 🌱 These credits represent real-life change and sustainability, verified through a robust Clean Development Mechanism developed by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Among these, a shining example is a mini-grid located in Kalobeyei Refugee Settlement in Turkana, Kenya, operated by a refugee-owned enterprise, Okapi Green Energy. This impactful project is led by visionary founder Vasco Hamisi and is supported by the generous funding from UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency and Power Africa, whose contributions have been pivotal in bringing renewable energy solutions to underserved communities. 💡 Okapi Green Energy is a beacon of hope and enterprise, showing the world that meaningful impact can come from any size. Renewvia stands firm in our commitment to recognizing and validating the efforts of all renewable energy producers, big or small. By aiding them in generating additional revenue through the sale of high-impact carbon super-assets, we help uplift communities and foster sustainable growth. 🤝 This transaction is a testament to Renewvia's ethos of empowering those who make a difference, ensuring that every producer has access to the carbon market. We applaud Okapi Green Energy for their exemplary work and are honored to assist them and other small owner-operators in harnessing the value of their contributions to our planet. #solarprogress #sdg7 #renewableenergy #renewableinvestment #cleanenergy #carboncredits #SteelFab #steelfabrication #corporatedecarbonization #kenya #minigrids #ruralelectrification #energyaccess #offgridsolar #refugees
