Feedback Forms Are Dead: A.I is a New Era for understanding the Well-Being outcomes in our music mentoring work. https://lnkd.in/eTqK4wED In the next month we’re rolling out something truly transformative at Noise Solution: the ability to automatically analyse securely, video of 100 of hours of participant conversations, every month. Understanding and listening to what young people actually think opens so many doors. Imagine what you could learn if you could actually listen to what the people you are working with say in conversation - rather than a feedback form. Forms collect fairly one dimensional data, often loaded with the bias of what a funder or commissioner wants to learn, rather than what's useful to the delivering organisation. We're building an innovative system that brings qualitative and quantitative data together in a secure, trusted online platform. We'll soon be able to analyse participants weekly reflection videos, alongside validated well-being scores, and insights from families and professionals. We’re making it easier than ever to understand the real impact of our work on how present the basic psychological needs vital to thrive of autonomy, competence, and relatedness are (Self Determination Theory). If we can understand that then we can understand how and where we're actually impacting upon well-being. Why ditch feedback forms? Because they don’t capture the complexity of well-being. Young people don’t thrive in tick boxes, and neither should our evaluations. Instead, we’re using AI-driven analysis to explore rich, meaningful conversations and experiences—without adding to the burden on participants or practitioners. Trust, security, and ethics In the UK, where safeguarding is critical, we’ve worked hard to ensure this system is built on trust. Ethical AI, robust security measures, and transparency are at the heart of everything we do, giving families and professionals confidence in how we’re working. Why this matters This isn’t just about moving away from forms—it’s about moving towards a new way of working. By integrating real stories with hard data, we’re creating a 360-degree view of well-being outcomes that local authorities, schools, and organisations can rely on. It’s about changing the game for how we support young people across the UK. This Christmas, we’re not just rolling out new technology—we’re rolling out a whole new way of thinking about well-being. Imagine evaluating a program WITHOUT NEEDING FEEDBACK FORMS! Express Yourself, an LGBTQ+ group we've run for quite a while now, has produced over 50 podcasts covering a wide range of topics where content has been totally driven by them. Recently, we utilised our A.I analysis for the first time to automatically understand the data within those podcasts and what it could signify for their well-being. (*Full permission for publishing and analysis was obtained).

Don't know how to capture your organisations outcomes? The book I contributed to recently has now had it's chapters made independently available. My chapter details how Noise Solution, as a small arts organisations, has utilised digital tools to solve historic issues in capturing outcomes - in ways that don't 'get in the way' and in fact, actually improve outcomes! Imagine a world were people could play with and investigate your organisational impact data, transparently in real time. That's what we're working towards.
